COST SAVING WITH FIBALON

Water is an expensive commodity, and reduced backwashing processes will save energy and money. For example, if backwashing is usually carried out twelve times per season, your energy savings by introducing FIBALON� will be (system depending) up to 40%. These cost savings come about through fresh water savings owing to not have to backwash for so long, not having to reheat fresh water after topping up, and reduced pump running cycles.

FIBALON� delivers a filtration flow rate of up to 50m3/h, flow rates with conventional sand can vary from 15m3/h up to 30m3/h. Your filter will also be running at a much lower operating pressure. FIBALON� offers a very low difference of pressure of 20 Mbar, measured before and after the filter media. In comparison, a 75kg sand filter will have a pressure difference of around 200 Mbar. This leads to further cost savings by reducing the strain on your system, resulting in fewer breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts being required.

  IMPROVED FILTRATION IN A REDUCED TIME

FIBALON� offers excellent filtration and high selectivity of particles through the innovative fibre structure, it also offers excellent turbidity values.

Laboratory tests on FIBALON� that had been used on a Swimming Pool showed that 50% of the filtered material was less than 13.46 microns in size, and 10% of the filtered materials were less than 3.48 microns.  As a comparison, sand will generally not filter any particles below 20 microns.  

Thanks to this fantastic filtration ability, you are left with water with very low turbidity, as there are very few suspended particles remaining in the water.  Due to this, it�s not necessary to use supplementary flocculent or clarification products, as your Swimming Pool water will be crystal clear.

  SUITABLE FOR ALL FILTER SYSTEMS

With FIBALON�, it doesn�t matter what type of Swimming Pool, Hot Tub or Spa you have, FIBALON� will work with all filter systems.

For conventional sand filters, FIBALON� can be used as a direct replacement for your sand or glass media.  One 350 gram bag of FIBALON� is equivalent to a 25kg bag of sand, so a 75kg sand filter will require approximately 3 bags, or 1kg of FIBALON�.  FIBALON� is therefore lighter and easier to handle, and makes changing your filter media a much easier task.

If you have a Spa, Hot Tub or Above Ground Pools that runs on a Cartridge Filter, you too can use FIBALON�.  Simply remove your cartridge, and place the FIBALON� material into the cartridge chamber.  Cartridge filters are notoriously poor at removing fine elements from pool or spa water, usually resulting in the water being drained, and the pool/spa being refilled - now this doesn�t need to happen, saving time, water, and money.
